Building safer and fairer workplaces

Workplace Education & Training

The Working Women’s Centre provides training for small, medium, and large organisations across all industries. We work with employees at all levels, including executive teams, HR teams, managers, contact people, and all other team members. We can also train volunteers.

Our training focuses on workplace gender equality and safety for all workers. Our workshops are informed by lived experience, best practice, and current research. Our training style is interactive and guided by adult learning principles.

We teach how to comply with legal rights and obligations, but our training goes a step further. We focus on the root causes of workplace issues, and work to positively shift attitudes and behaviours to create lasting cultural change.

If our workshop offerings don’t meet your specific needs, please contact us to discuss customised sessions.

Other education offerings

The Working Women’s Centre can also offer customised workshops with a particular focus, relevant to the needs of your organisation. For example, we have delivered workshops previously on bullying, intersectionality, gender equity and respect, and systemic advocacy. In addition, we occasionally run legal CPD sessions for the legal profession.

Our legal team is also well equipped to deliver Community Legal Education (CLE). We run short presentations which help people to understand their legal rights in the workplace. We deliver these CLE workshops free-of-cost to groups of students, workers or community members who may benefit from learning more about their workplace rights. If you have a request for a CLE presentation, or any other type of speaking request, get in touch with us here: reception@wwc.org.au

  • The Working Women’s Centre has delivered training to over 280 leaders since 2017 that is contextualised to the audience and in line with our department’s policy and procedures. The feedback from leaders has always been really positive.
